Jennifer Cashman
Counselor Jennifer Cashman serves as the High School Team Lead and Counselor. Her ultimate goal at MVPS is to help students find their personal path to success and happiness. Jennifer's experiences in education include time as a paraprofessional, classroom teacher, and school counselor. She has a bachelor's degree in Education from Fort Hays State University and a master's degree in school counseling from the University of West Alabama. Jennifer lives west of Wichita and has two teens and 4 golden retrievers. When she isn't working with students and their families, she enjoys running, swimming, kayaking, and reading. Her favorite part of MVPS is building relationships with students and their families. |
Adrianne Graham
History Adrianne Graham has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education and a Master’s Degree in Instruction and Curriculum from the University of Kansas. Over the years she has taught social studies courses to students in grades 6th-12th. Adrianne lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, two daughters, a dog, and several guinea pigs. When she isn’t teaching she enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, running, knitting, and pottery. Her favorite thing about being a part of the MVPS family is the opportunity to connect with new students and families. |
Michael McDaniel English/Creative Writing/Expanded Learning Michael McDaniel came to MVPS after teaching in his hometown, Liberal, and in the district in Maize South High School’s English Department. Michael received his Bachelor’s in English Literature and Dramatic Studies, from Friends University. McDaniel did a stint as a chocolatier between graduating from college and enrolling in the Transition to Teach Program at Fort Hays State University. In 2015, McDaniel completed his M.S. in Education at FHSU. Michael enjoys working with his students and families. He hopes to inspire his students to stretch their limits and try new things academically through his expanded learning classes. |
Dr. Michelle Parks
English Dr. Michelle Parks has taught middle school and high school English, and in her free time, she teaches composition classes at a local community college. She loves to read, and she enjoys introducing students to both modern and classical literature. She challenges students to try different genres and works to help students make personal connections with what they read. Michelle obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Mid-America University and a Doctorate of Education from Southwestern. She lives in the Kansas City area with her husband and two children. They enjoy traveling, finding a good book, trying new restaurants, and spending time outdoors. |
Ashley Fryer
Science Ashley Fryer loves online education and virtual schools. She has been involved in online education since 2009. Ashley has a BS in Biology Education, an MA in Teaching Biological Science, and an MS.ED in Leadership. Over the years she has taught a variety of science and health courses in grades 6-12. Ashley lives in southeast Kansas. Her family consists of her husband, two daughters, and a bunch of crazy animals. Her hobbies include reading, baking, and pretty much anything outdoors. Her favorite thing about MVPS is the live science classes, especially when they get to do labs together from the comfort of their own homes. |
Amber Coker Math Amber Coker has been a mathematics teacher since 2004. She has a BS in Secondary Mathematics Education and an MS Degree in Educational Administration from Fort Hays State University. Mrs. Coker has also completed an additional 60+ college graduate hours of study in the areas of mathematics, instructional technology, and mentoring. She has taught just about every high school math class there is, from Pre-Algebra all the way up to AP Calculus! When she isn’t teaching, Mrs. Coker spends most of her time on various activities for her four children. She also enjoys reading and watching movies with her family. |
Alejandra Prendes
Spanish and World Languages Alejandra Prendes teaches Spanish, French, and World Languages For Maize USD 266 and MVPS High School. Alejandra graduated from the National Autonomous of Mexico. She received her MS Degree from WSU in Spanish Literature and specialized in French from WSU and Orleans University in France. Alejandra loves to travel every year with her students to explore language and culture. She also participates in triathlons in different parts of the world. |

Melinda Holmes
K-12 Principal Melinda Holmes and Sherlock Holmes share the same last name, and they also share a love of exploration, problem-solving, and learning. Melinda serves as the MVPS Principal. Finding creative ways to engage learners and unlock each student’s potential is her passion. Melinda’s experience includes both the traditional classroom and ten years of home education with her own children. Her personal love of learning has led her to a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University, and a Master’s in Education Administration from Fort Hays State University, as well as many additional graduate hours in science and technology. Lori Andersen K-12 Assistant Principal Lori Andersen serves as the MVPS Assistant Principal. MVPS is exciting to her because she loves exploring new places and learning new things. That is in perfect alignment with the vision of the school. Being able to help children find their love of learning and partnering with parents in their vision of schooling at home is her ultimate goal. |
Tiffany Riedel
Educational Outreach Assistant/Registrar Tiffany Riedel worked as a registrar in the Maize District before transferring to Maize Virtual. She enjoys the interaction between students and staff and building relationships with families and students. She has a heart for students and loves that MVPS provides an untraditional approach to education, putting the students' needs first. In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys cross-stitching, assisting with district student activities, and spending time with her family and her MVPS work family. |
Angie Bayliff
Educational Outreach Assistant/Registrar/Finance Angie Bayliff likes working behind the scenes to keep MVPS running smoothly. She is customer-oriented, student-driven, and always willing to go the extra mile to help families. She has a degree from Wichita State University in Communications. Angie has volunteered as a parent advocate for gifted education and is a former board member for Kansas Gifted, Talented, and Creative (KGTC). One of the best things she loves about MVPS is the creative ways teachers find to meet the educational needs of students. She also loves how MVPS promotes a growth mindset for both students and families. When she is not at work, Angie loves spending time with her family, reading, writing, and practicing shinrin yoku (nature bathing). |
